U.S. Financial Diaries (USFD) is a research project tracking more than 200 low- and moderate- income households over the course of a year, and collecting highly detailed data on household financial activity. The research on the site will be published in a series of reports to help forward the cause of helping poor households manage and better their economic lives.

The Mechanism worked with the team from USFD in tandem with a larger research site for The Financial Access Initiative, in designing a unique brand identity, and Content Management solution that enabled both sites to function under the same CMS, limiting chance of user error, and saving the research team valuable time getting large amounts of time sensitive data and content published to the web.
